What is a Firearm Transfer
If you plan to purchase a firearm through an online auction site or dealer located in another state you will need an FFL transfer. Federal law mandates all firearms must be shipped to a Federally Licensed Firearms Dealer.
We will need the name and email address of the seller to be able to send a copy of our FFL.
Note: We do not have a fax machine.
Once we have this information we will send them an email stating who it is for and a description of the firearm (and auction item number if applicable) along with our FFL to the seller.
After your firearm arrives, you will need to come by during regular business hours to complete a background check. Bring your Texas drivers license or Texas ID card, and your TEXAS LTC if you have one.
You MUST pass the background check in order to receive your firearm. If a transfree is unable to pass a back ground check they will need to make arrangements to have the firearm returned to the seller. After 90 days the firearm will become property of Bridgeport Guns and Ammo, Inc.
The fee is $35.00 per firearm after 30 days the increases to $50.00 All transfers must be picked up in 90 days or they became property of Bridgeport Guns and Ammo Inc.
