If you plan to purchase a firearm through an online auction site or dealer located in another state you will need an FFL transfer. Federal law mandates all firearms must be shipped to a Federally Licensed Firearms Dealer.
A few exceptions are shipping a firearm for repairs and shipping a firearm to yourself.

If you have won an online auction, send us the item number and a description of the firearm.
Your contact information - Name, address, e-mail, phone number. So we can contact you when your firearm arrives.
We will need the name and address or email address of the seller to be able to send a copy of our FFL. The BATFE now allows dealers to accept FFL's electronically so please include an email address ,if they have one, provided the dealer selling the firearm will accept an FFL by email. Note: We do not have a fax machine.
Once I have this information I will send them an email stating who it is for and a description of the firearm (and auction item number if applicable) along with my FFL to the seller.
After your firearm arrives you will need to come by during regular business hours for the background check. Bring your Texas drivers license or Texas ID card with you.
You MUST pass the background check in order to receive your firearm. Unless you posses a valid Texas Handgun License which serves in-lue of the background check.
$50.00 per firearm
$35.00 per firearm for Texas License to Carry Holders.
